Attorney Roberta Brooks is dedicated to criminal law. After serving in the United States Navy as a 2nd class petty officer, she became an Oakland Police Officer. Later she graduated magna cum laude from San Francisco State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. Wanting to practice law, she enrolled and graduated from the University of Pacific, McGeorge Law School. As a member of the California Public Defenders Association, the Criminal Law Section of Contra Costa County Bar, the Criminal Law Section of the California State Bar, and a member of Women Defenders, Roberta Brooks understands what it means to provide aggressive representation to the accused. She also sits on the board of directors for Contra Costa Friends Outside, an organization that is committed to assisting inmates and their families.
